Andrew Miller, with trade as a shipwright/boat builder, has travelled the world working on some very interesting projects. He has skippered yachts on some long interesting voyages and experienced many different cultures and different methods of boat building and repairs.

He started working with boats at age 16 and developed a passion for sailing, competing in his first of 17 Sydney to Hobart yacht races at age 19. Over 40 years later, his experience with building, repairing and sailing boats all over the world has given Andrew a clear understanding of the pros and cons of each vessel, and its current condition when presented for sale or insurance risk reports. Pre purchase surveys assist buyers to make an informed decision whether or not to go ahead with the purchase of a vessel. If they decide to go ahead with the purchase, they can use the report to insure the vessel.

All reports are very detailed and include extensive information regarding:

• the structural condition of the vessel,
• the equipment on board and its condition,
• the safety equipment and machinery,
• electrical, plumbing and the myriad of different equipment unique to each vessel.

The survey reports are easy to read and comprehend, and come with clear photographs. Andrew will discuss any aspect of the vessel with clients to help them understand the purpose of any equipment, machinery or any part of a vessel that needs to be addressed. He is passionate about providing a helpful service and providing advise to people with little or no boating experience and steer them away from the difficulties that can be encountered for novice mariners.
